Terms of Service

Last updated July 1, 2026

These terms govern your use of gototherapy.app (“gototherapy,” “we,” “us”). By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. If you use gototherapy on behalf of a practice, you represent that you are authorized to bind that practice.

The service

gototherapy provides client-intake and practice-management software for licensed mental-health practices, including intake forms, scheduling, reminders, telehealth video, notes, and billing tools. We may improve or change features over time.

Accounts

You must provide accurate information and keep your account secure. Sign-in uses one-time email links; you are responsible for the security of your email inbox and for activity by staff you invite. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

Your responsibilities as a practice

  • You are the covered entity for your clients’ information and are responsible for obtaining any consents and for your own clinical, licensing, and legal compliance.
  • Handling of protected health information is governed by our Business Associate Agreement, which applies to all PHI you process through the service.
  • You will use the service lawfully and will not upload malicious code, attempt to breach security, or send unsolicited or unlawful email.

Fees and subscription

Paid plans are billed monthly through Stripe — $49/month per practice, or $39/month for a solo practitioner — after any free trial. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. You can cancel at any time, effective at the end of the current billing period. You are responsible for applicable taxes.

Client payments

If you enable client payments, transactions are processed by Stripe and settled to your practice’s connected account; your practice is the merchant of record. gototherapy is not a party to payments between your practice and its clients and is not responsible for those transactions.

Acceptable use

You may not use the service to violate any law, infringe others’ rights, or disrupt the service or its infrastructure. Email sent through the service must comply with applicable anti-spam laws and our providers’ acceptable-use policies.

Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. gototherapy is a software tool and does not provide medical, clinical, or legal advice. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, gototherapy will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these terms or to comply with law. On termination we will make your data available for export or deletion as described in our Privacy Policy and BAA.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
